At Skyline, fitness is a priority!
We believe it’s important to offer a diverse fitness program, giving residents tools that make it easy to incorporate regular physical activities into their lifestyle. A wide variety of activities are offered here — group exercise classes, personal training, outdoor hikes and walks, gym equipment orientations and annual fitness evaluations.
The fitness trainers offer a wide variety of classes, ranging from Tai Chi to seated exercises that increase balance and stability. We inspire and encourage residents to improve their functional ability throughout the aging process.
Physical Strengthening in Rehab
Besides just keeping people fit — our fitness team also collaborates with Skyline's on-site physical therapy department to help residents recovering from a surgery or other medical event, getting them back on their feet and feeling strong.
Skyline’s Aquatic Center includes an indoor saline pool and a whirlpool spa. This is where you’ll enjoy regularly scheduled aqua classes and you can also invite family and friends during the pool’s open hours for all to enjoy.
We love our wellness program because we know that living an active life promotes happiness, emotional wellbeing and even brain fitness!
If you’re considering a move and would like to know more about our fitness program, call (206) 407-1700 or fill out the form on this page. We look forward to hearing from you!
Note: Always be sure to talk with your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
